‘Suicide Capsule’ Use Suspended in Switzerland

Campaign groups behind the controversial suicide capsule, “Sarco,” have suspended applications following a criminal investigation into its first use.

A 64-year-old woman from the U.S. became the first to use the device on Sept. 23 in Switzerland, prompting intense public and legal scrutiny.

The president of The Last Resort, Florian Willet, is in pretrial detention, and Swiss authorities are investigating the case, as reported by News Week.
