When I was a boy, the old folks, like my grandfather, used to tell us the Legend of Big Joe, the largest Bass in the world and this fish was in a nearby lake. The point of the fib was to motivated us to fish. Thus, the song...but in the song, Big Joe, is a Brim, not a Bass.
