Hillary Clinton warns: Allowing free speech on socials means ‘we lose control’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton emphasized the need for social media companies to moderate content on their platforms, warning that failure to do so could lead to a loss of control over harmful information.

In an interview with CNN’s Michael Smerconish, Clinton highlighted the need for federal action, despite some state-level regulations.

She called for repealing Section 230 of the Communications Act, which currently protects online platforms from liability for user-generated content.

Clinton argued that platforms like Facebook and Twitter must actively monitor content to prevent real-life consequences, the New York Post has reported.
