Really the question is, when does life begin? At the moment of conception, you have DNA from mom and DNA from dad and it's pulled together in a unique set of DNA that happens at the moment of conception.

The first few weeks, there is an incredible amount that is happening. We know that the baby's body plan has already emerged to give rise to all the tissues and organs. We know that the heart is rhythmically beating. We know that the brain is developing into its specialized subsections. All of the nerve tracts are present, the connection to the part of the brain that we now know, do help us experience pain.
