Climbers rescued after three days on mountain

British climber Fay Manners and her American partner, Michelle Dvorak, survived two days stranded on Chaukhamba mountain in India after losing their supplies when a rope snapped.

Without essential equipment, they endured brutal conditions at over 20,000 feet, relying on emergency texts to prompt a rescue.

Despite a failed helicopter search and severe cold, the pair managed to abseil down the mountain.

French climbers eventually located and aided them, sharing gear and guiding them to safety, BBC has reported.
