I overheard him telling his friend that he didn't want to get married anymore.
Coincidentally, I didn't want to get married either.
It was pouring rain outside as I left the hospital, feeling elated.The doctor had just told me I was pregnant. As if by telepathy, my phone rang. It was Tyler calling.
I quickly answered, planning to share the good news, but before I could speak, he beat me to it. "Chloe, I'm drunk. Come pick me up," he said, his voice languid. "Oh, okay. Where are you?"
"I'll send you my location." He hung up after just a few words. I opened the umbrella and checked the location he shared. It was nearby. I was filled with joy, thinking I'd tell him the good news in person.
