This cocktail looks cute. But it is not. Connoisseurs will quickly guess which classic cocktail forms the base.

RAKI or Arak is a Mediterranean aniseed flavored spirit which is usually clear and colorless, but diluted with water it turns cloudy.

Recipe:
22.5ml-3/4oz CITRUSY OVERPROOF GIN
22.5ml-3/4oz BLUE CURACAO
22.5ml-3/4oz LILLET BLANC
7.5ml-1/4oz LEMON JUICE
7.5ml-1/4oz LIME JUICE
7.5ml-1/4oz RAKI / ARAK

Shake first 5 ingredients with wet ice. Dilution is the key. Fine strain into chilled Nick and Nora glass.

Float with RAKI. Express a lemon peel over your drink and garnish with a lemon zest.
