Our Faith in God Carries Us

Abraham and Israel was given the promise that he would be the heir of the world five times in (Psalm 37:9, 11, 27, 29, 34). It had nothing to do with obedience to the law, but had everything to do with his faith and obedience to God. It has nothing to do with the law or your obedience to the law and everything to do with our faith in God. The law cannot fulfill the promise that God has given in which everyone who believes in His son will find the kingdom of heaven. The law brings forth the wrath when you break the law. The law is a tool that is used to emphasize your sin. It has no saving properties and will not get you into heaven. Paul in (Galatians 3:10) tells us that if you are under the law and do not follow the law, then you are cursed.

Paul has big issues to contend with. The Jewish people believe in God but they do not believe that the Messiah has come, sent by God for God's purpose. God sent Jesus to redeem our sins, to provide every sinner a path to righteousness. Paul makes his point clear. The law cannot save you. The law does not forgive sins, the law is not the key to getting into heaven.

Paul has been quite clear on the distinction of the law and will start to introduce that when you follow Christ, it is the only means to salvation. Whether you are a Jew or a Gentile. Your salvation is dependent on receiving Christ. And through the decision to live for Christ, you will live in God's grace. This does not mean you have a free pass to continue to sin, but puts forward the steps we are required to take to live the life that Christ has designed for us.

(Matthew 19:26) with men this is impossible, with God all things are possible. This is the message to Abraham when he was told he and Sarah would have a child. God will provide every need and bring to pass anything that aligns with His nature and is consistent with His redemptive purposes. This means that God will not go against His nature when creating man and women or His ability to save lost souls.

God's ultimate plan includes His son Jesus Christ to take away all the sins of the world. God never said for some He will bring Jesus, for others He will keep the law. God makes things very simple for us by eliminating the confusion around salvation. This simple process includes following the Lord Jesus Christ. The foundation of the process is faith. Having faith in Jesus Christ carries the weight of all your issues that you will ever encounter in this world. There is not a problem Jesus cannot solve. There is not a problem that we can hide from Jesus. All of our problems will be exposed to Jesus at some point in life or in our transition to heaven or hell. What I mean is that on the judgment seat all of our issues will be in front of us and will be addressed and adjudicated with the outcome determined by the Jesus.

His call is loud and everyone hears it. But, not everyone will answer the call. God will continue to call you and put obstacles in your way to get you to see Him and see the love that He has for you. God allows us to live in our decisions as uncomfortable or full of regret they may be. It is through tough times that we realize that God is the only answer to all of life's problems. His solutions are the best solutions for each one of us. God knows us, He knows our circumstances and He will develop a recovery plan specific to our needs. Be clear though, His recovery plan will include following Him for the rest of our days.

It is through our faith that we seek God's grace and mercy. Do we know He is powerful? Do we think God will fail us? The question becomes are you living the life that God has given to you? Are you putting your trust in the Lord to carry you through life? If you are not and you have one foot in the world and the other foot in heaven, then at times of trial it will seem like God is leaving you on an island alone. In reality God is waiting for you to move your foot out of the world and move it into the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus is the one who poured out His life for our sins. He was sent by His Father to fulfill His ultimate plan of redemption. This plan is documented several centuries before Jesus walked on the road to Golgotha to hang on the cross. In the book of (Isaiah 53:12), it is clear that God has preplanned the death of His son and that Jesus will be our path to God and our path to live for eternity in the kingdom of heaven.

My prayer is that we all understand the importance of having a strong personal relationship with Jesus. I pray that the Holy Spirit will fall upon each one of us to enlighten us about the love that God has for us. I pray that we learn and never forget what Jesus did for you and me. That His selfless act on the cross gives us eternal life will not be in vain. That each person will decide to make that personal choice and personal sacrifice to follow Jesus for the rest of our days. In Jesus Mighty Name Amen! Amen!
