New NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte made his first international trip a trip to Kyiv to meet with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky with the stated purpose to shore up NATO support for Ukraine. The trip was not a disaster, but Mr. Rutte made what would be considered gaffes as he spoke out of place on issues that should have been discussed with NATO members prior to making public statements from Ukraine.
