Day 170 - Installing 1335 Feet of Water Pipe

We've delayed water as long as possible. Mostly due to an order of operations with our unique property. The only way in for water to the home site is through the driveway, but the same holds true for electricity. Of course, a complete off grid setup would be nice but it's just not in the cards financially. With the underground electricity finalized we can focus on the water.

After being told the water meter would be installed the same week, I rented a trencher for $250, tax included, for eight hours of run time. We got the trenching done in just over six hours of run time on the machine. A total of 1335' of pipe was trenched and installed in about 24 hours of actual time.

Unfortunately, the meter was not set that week and we had to let the pipe sit in the trench while it rained over the weekend. I'll discuss those issues in the next video.
