In Kazakhstan, Unbreakable Brotherhood 2024 CSTO command post exercise is finished

06.10.24 - Today, at the Bereg training ground of the Kazakhstan armed forces, the Unbreakable Brotherhood 2024 CSTO command post exercise was overed by a joint operation.

During the exercise, the peacekeeping operation was conducted in order to stabilise the situation in areas of potential conflicts and to ensure conditions for the just and peaceful resolution.

The Central MD servicemen as part of CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces together handled peacekeeping tasks at checkpoints for refugees, patrolled the area, provided humanitarian assistance, evacuated locals, blocked and captured the mock terrorists.

At the end of the drills, the training ground was marked by the closing ceremony. The Central Military District's commander-in-charge awarded the most distinguished servicemen participated in the exercise with medals, certificates, and presents. At the end, the servicemen of both states marched alongside with music of military orchestra.

The CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces command post exercise was held at the Bereg training ground of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan. The exercise involved national contingents of the peacekeeping forces of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, as well as the operational groups of the CSTO Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat.

In total, the exercise involved more than 2,000 troops, 500 units of armoured and motor vehicles, Mi-17 and Mi-35 helicopters, Il-76 and C-295 aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The Russian military contingent is based on mountain, motorised rifle units, as well as drone units of the 201st Russian military base of the Central Military District. Source
