From the archives: Here is a campy music video I did on hot summer days (over 100 degrees) in 2013 in Brooklyn & Queens Cemeteries.
Funeral Singers is a song by the band Califone. I recorded a remake, playing all the instruments and sang back in 2010. The song was originally featured in a movie called “All my friends are funeral singers”.
I was attending some night classes at New York Film Academy in the summer of 2013 and decided to turn that song remake I recorded into a music video as one of my projects. I used my own cheap camera and equipment to do it. I obtained 5 student actors and a permit to film at a Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.
I am reposting this music video as well as behind the scenes footage I had put together back then that I will showcase after the music video.

Portions of the B Roll footage I did at BethEL and Macpelah Cemeteries in Queens, New York are incorporated in the music video as well.

Main portion of the Funeral Singers music video was filmed in Brooklyn at the Cypress Hills Cemetery. Notable names of interest buried here are Mae West, Victor Moore, Jackie Robinson, Eubie Blake, and the Fox Sisters who were known for contacting those on the other side through seances during the early years of the Spiritualism movement.

Filmed locations: Queens, Brooklyn, New York
Date: Early July 2013
