Pre-Arrival on a Fully Engulfed Car Fire

On 10/06/24 at approximately 1:58 AM, Chula Vista Fire Department responded to reports of a car fire on northbound Interstate 5 on the E st offramp. Upon arrival, they encountered a fully engulfed car fire with no occupants inside. The driver had fled the scene. Chula Vista Fire achieved a quick knockdown of the flames. CVFD is investigating.
