Gaza in rubble: the challenges and health risks of rebuilding the enclave

With two thirds of the Strip's buildings damaged or destroyed, the U.N. estimates that the debris generated in 12 months of conflict amounts to 42 million tonnes. Harboring decomposed bodies and undetonated explosives, the rubble is not only a health and safety hazard, but also a major obstacle when it comes to rebuilding Gaza. Emma Jehle explains.
