Prime minister Keir Starmer to invest £22bn in carbon capture and storage

The Prime Minister has outlined plans to invest 22 billion pounds in carbon capture projects on Merseyside and Teesside.

While it's designed to keep carbon out of the atmosphere, campaigners, including Greenpeace, say the initiative will only extend the life of oil and gas production.
