In this installment of A Minute of History, Commissary historian Dr. Peter Skirbunt reminds us of the Korean War, which was being waged 65 years ago. The truce, from June 1950 to July 1953 - necessitated the continuing presence of American military forces in South Korea. In the decades since, many of the bases established there opened commissaries to serve American military families stationed there.
