PROBLEM:TraditionalChristianscholarshiphasmaintainedthatthefirstfivebooksof
theBiblewerewrittenbyMoses.ThefirsttwochaptersoftheBookofGenesisread
asaneyewitnessaccountoftheeventsofcreation.However,howcouldMoses,or
anymanforthatmatter,writethesechaptersasifhewereaneyewitnesssincehe
wouldnothaveexistedatthetime?
SOLUTION:Ofcourse,therewasaneyewitnessofcreation—God,theCreator.These
chaptersareobviouslyarecordofcreationwhichGodspecificallyreportedtoMoses
bywayofspecialrevelation.Thetendencytoaskquestionslike,“Howdidthe
chroniclerknowthatmineralsprecededplantsandplantsprecededanimals?”betrays
anantisupernaturalbiasandarefusaltoconsideralternativeexplanationsotherthan
thoseproposedbynaturalistic science.
