Pick Up On South Street (1953)

Directed by Samuel Fuller. The film follows Skip McCoy (Richard Widmark), a petty pickpocket who unknowingly steals a microfilm containing government secrets from a woman named Candy (Jean Peters). This theft entangles him in a dangerous web of Cold War espionage, with both communist agents and U.S. authorities vying for the stolen film.
