#Tux in a near coma-condition enjoying(?) the balcony mid-day. A couple of times he flirted with combustion by allowing parts of his ultra-heat-absorbent body, but saved himself before he reached his flash point.

This was also the first sighting we (well, I) have had of the cat-friend next door. I've now determined that every top-story apartment facing our the same directions have cats. One can't miss seeing all of the dogs around because they all pretty much get walked, but cats can only be found pretty much seeing them sitting in the windows, and rarely on balconies.

I'll probably never be able to get video of it, but I've wrapped #Tux up like a burrito in a towel (a "purrito", as it's known) and walked around the outside of the building for a few minutes. He has never struggled to get out and is hyper-attentive, constantly looking around at all of the distractions he's now getting to see at ground-level. One dog barked at him from about 100 feet away and he didn't seem to care. When he was homeless he grew up with both other cats as well as dogs, so he's not inherently afraid of them. This should come in handy at some point in the future if/when I can get him used to be being walked wearing a harness. That's the longer-term goal, anyways.
