This is an extended video of #Tux, who in hindsight was suffering with his inability to deal with allergies because of his diabetic condition. My fear was that his organs were already starting to shut down (they still may be creeping in that direction), but his acute problem seems to be allergies.

In the first 24 hours of him being home with me indoors, he continued to only eat and drink about 10-20% of what he normally does. His appetite is somewhat better (still only about 25-30% of normal) but his water intake is still way too low. The size of his pee-rocks in the litterbox is a very small fraction of what I was used to seeing when he lived with me for three weeks during his neutering recovery. They used to be large-fist-sized and each are now just under the size of a golf ball. And instead of 12-14 large rocks, it's now only about 4-6 golf balls in total.

Because the big problem with #Tux staying with me was not being able to control where he urinates 100% of the time (in my bed, on the sofa, in the carpet, etc.), it's probably just a matter of time before this happens again, and I honestly don't know what I will do at that point. I dearly want to keep him inside until his weight recovers to the point it was before I left on my eight day trip out-of-state, but previously he was destroying my place at a time when I'm trying to clean it for moving away. During that period he lost a whopping 6.5oz and was clearly quite ill the minute I saw him upon my return.

I very much hope that #Tux will continue to recover, but at a much faster rate than he is currently, as this undernourishment and hydration continues to be a substantial burden on his tragically diabetic body. It's still hard to know at this point if his total condition is continuing to improve or not, even though symptomatically he's clearly doing better.
