20240506 085044 Tux pre-Move -- second to last Farewell to My Dear Friend

This was #Tux's last feeding before I drove my possessions out-of-state prior to my upcoming permanent move. This was very difficult because not only would I be away from him for just over one week, but a pre-play of the day that I'll last be feeding this dear boy for likely the last time. The breaking of strong bonds like these has always been a challenge for me, and "practicing" like this isn't something than makes it any easier.

I'm no Marcus Aurelius or a practiced Buddhist, that's for sure. It's not that I'm not trying, but I don't feel like it's going well.
