Bodycam footage released by the Sacramento Police Department shows 39-year-old Santino Marez, of Sacramento, climbed on an RV to hide from officers.

When the officers spotted Marez, one of the officers drew their gun and started ordering him to come down, the video shows. Marez then stood up, jumped off the RV and ran away from officers.

The officers pursued him, and while chasing him down an officer’s gun was fired, grazing Marez's head.

After putting him in handcuffs, officers administered emergency first aid and Marez was taken to the hospital. Once released, Marez was reportedly booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on a felony, no-bail warrant associated with being a prohibited person in possession of a gun, police said.

Marez did not have a gun on him when he was arrested, but narcotics were reportedly found in his vehicle, according to officials.

Officers investigated a vehicle with a suspended registration near Beloit Drive and Bell Avenue. Marez was believed to be associated with the car, and he allegedly abandoned it before officers contacted him, police said.
