PHA Australia and New Zealand invited Bronte Spicer to speak to us about the science behind why safely feeling our feelings is vital and how it heals trauma.

Bronte is a somatic therapist, teacher and the author of "It’s Okay to Cry." She shares the science and steps to safely sit with and feel scary feelings as a way to improve your sense of mental health and wellbeing. Her own mental health dramatically improved when she was introduced to somatic therapy after a 22-year bout of depression. Bronte is a retreat alchemist and wellbeing workshop facilitator, holding workshops and retreats across Victoria and NSW. She presented at the Spiritual Care Australia Conference in Sydney this year and will be presenting at Seven Sisters Festival in November. Bronte is an award-winner writer for Elephant Journal and host to her podcast It's Okay to Cry.

(B.Ed/BSOR, Adv. Certificate in Guiding and Teaching Meditation, Embodied Processing Practitioner, Certified Kiloby Inquiries Facilitator, Reiki II.)
