At the same time, Malcom & the rest of the party try to escape with the lenses. Billy's said the magic word, and tries to warn the fleeing expedition members that the bridge across the gorge is mined! The first car makes it, and Captain Marvel rescues Betty & Whitey from drowning when their car falls into the river. Back safe in the USA, the expedition members plan to meet … And the mysterious Scorpion plans to get the lenses one at a time. He orders Barnett to steal the first one from Carlisle. After they capture him, they threaten him with a high-tech guillotine. Billy & Whitey have a plan to track the crooks -- which backfires. And Captain Marvel pursues the villains, only to fall into the guillotine trap himself!
