School Of Fab - Episode 19

Born the son of a car builder, Alan Banuelos spent his entire life around cars and it built a love that grew into his life’s work. His childhood consisted of collecting Hot Wheels cars, spending time at his dad’s shop and combing through his mass collection of car magazines. Your imagination can run away with you when you live in a small town, and for Alan he dreamed up dreams that seemed impossible. At an early age his dad taught him the importance of body lines, perfect gaps and laying down mirror like paint. Alan started off early in collision shops where he credits learning the basics of body & paint as well as the importance of structure. At 24 he completed his first full restoration which was a 1957 Chevy. With a combination of trial and error, persistence and the ultimate goal of reaching perfection, it molded Alan into the craftsman he is today.
