we're diving into the exciting royal news that has everyone talking—Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are expecting their second child! But, in a classic internet moment, Buckingham Palace’s announcement featured a tiny but hilarious typo! Keep watching to find out what happened, along with an exclusive look at the latest royal family photos.
On October 1st, Buckingham Palace officially shared the news that Princess Beatrice, 36, and Edo, 40, are preparing to welcome a new member to their growing family. The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, are already parents to 2-year-old Sienna, and Edo's 8-year-old son, Christopher Woolf, affectionately known as Wolfie.
But here’s where things get interesting! According to Hello! magazine, the Palace’s initial post on X (formerly known as Twitter) had a slight typo. Instead of 'Her Royal Highness,' the announcement mistakenly called Beatrice 'Her Royal Highes'—an amusing slip that was quickly corrected.
The polished statement read, 'Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together early in the new year; a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna.' Buckingham Palace also shared that King Charles himself had been informed and, of course, both families are overjoyed!
And that’s not all! The Palace shared two new photos to celebrate the happy occasion. In one, Princess Beatrice and Edo share a sweet moment, wrapped in each other's arms, looking as casual and in love as ever. Beatrice beams at the camera while sporting a red velvet headband, and Edo, in a black baseball cap, gazes at her with pure affection.
The second photo gave us something even more special—a rare peek at their family life. Edo is seen walking hand-in-hand with Wolfie and little Sienna in a beautiful woodland setting, all decked out in rain gear. What’s noteworthy is that this is the first time the Palace has ever shared an image of Sienna!
Princess Beatrice has always been private when it comes to her family life. She and Edo have never publicly shown their daughter’s face, preferring to protect her privacy. But fans have occasionally caught glimpses of Sienna from behind, thanks to photos shared by Edo and Beatrice’s mother, the Duchess of York, or her sister, Princess Eugenie.
And speaking of the Duchess of York, just days before this royal news broke, Sarah Ferguson—affectionately known as Fergie—spoke about her daughters at the Youth Impact Council during New York Climate Week. She shared how proud she is of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie for their hard work. Beatrice has been a champion for causes like technology, dyslexia, and humanity in the workplace. Fergie even mentioned how much she continues to learn from them.
