Tim Walz said he went to China ‘dozens’ of times, now his campaign says its ‘closer to 15’

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, running mate to Vice President Kamala Harris, has acknowledged that he traveled to China much less than previously stated.

Initially claiming to have visited “dozens of times,” Walz now admits the number is “closer to 15,” according to a spokesperson.

This revelation comes amid scrutiny from GOP critics regarding potential ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

Walz first visited China in 1989 during the Tiananmen Square uprising and continued to return annually with students until he began his political career.

He founded a company, Educational Travel Adventures, Inc., to facilitate student trips to China.

However, a recent investigation by Minnesota Public Radio verified only about 12 trips, contradicting his earlier claims, Fox News has reported.
