North Cascades National Park in Washington is one of the most beautiful areas for fall hiking because you can hike on trails lined with red bushes and golden yellow larches.

Here are a few tips if you want to visit within the next week.

🥾 Research hikes in and around North Cascades NP that have larches. There are so many blogs with great info. I loved Maple Loop Pass for sunrise.

📱Check the reviews on WTA and AllTrails for current conditions. Once larches start turning a more yellow color (they're usually light green) they turn quick!

☀️Check the weather and make sure to try and go before it snows. Snow can make the fall colors go bye bye I usually look at Windy, YR and other weather networks I can find to see what the weather will be like.

🩷Be kind. Larch season is busy and there can be a lot of people on the trail.

⏰Start early if you're looking for a quieter experience.

🌲 Leave only footprints and have fun!
