The Treehouse is unscathed The entire High Country devastated by Helene / Federal Government is MIA

The Treehouse and all her critter’s including our dogs Annie and Bonham are safe. Lady, Hattie, and the entire Harem are safe

I drove to get cell coverage sunrise Sunday to contact our families in Philadelphia and ended up 40 miles west of Asheville 100 miles from home. I was able to call everyone. Then I ran out of gas trying to get gas. The Shell gas station ran out after I was in line for two hours. It got ugly. By the grace of God the BP across the street opened up new pumps and without cutting in the other huge lines I ended up 5th. The car stalled at the pump. I’m filled with guilt for leaving all my friends. I made the decision we would be more of a burden than help once we ran out of food and we should take to opportunity to get out while we could. I was able to fill the tank, get back home, distribute all our food to neighbors, and we were in SC by 11pm with both dogs in a Quality Inn. We’re now in Philadelphia with family. I currently have tears in my eyes typing this and I’m praying for everyone still there. Once power is restored we will head back and support every business and charity that is humanly possible. For those still stranded, the thousands missing, and all the souls that were lost please know we hear your cries and the nation is praying for you. ✝️
