Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that Michigan has been awarded a U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services grant of $33 million over three years
to help make child care more affordable and accessible. The grant will invest in
child care jobs and allow the state to continue lowering child care costs for
families and providing education to young children. For Michigan News Source
