Sweet Baby Inc. Dumps Square Enix: Is Woke Ideology Losing Ground? Sweet Baby Inc., known for its agenda to inject woke ideology into the gaming industry, has removed Square Enix from its client list on their website. Previously featured alongside major companies like Ubisoft and Warner Bros. Games, Square Enix is now conspicuously absent.

This unexpected change follows a recent earnings report where an investor grilled Square Enix about its ties to Sweet Baby Inc. The investor expressed concern about the Canadian consultancy's influence, questioning, "Is there actually a transaction there? What kind of transaction is it? Will they continue to do so in the future?"

Square Enix President Takashi Kiryu responded cautiously, avoiding specifics about individual clients while emphasizing the company’s shift from quantity to quality. The goal is to create enjoyable and safe content, a significant pivot after a disappointing 70% profit decline linked to previous associations with woke consultants like Sweet Baby Inc. and Black Girl Gamers, who worked on the poorly received Forspoken.

This fallout seems to indicate a desire for Square Enix to distance itself from Sweet Baby Inc. and its attempts to "wokeify" video games. Despite this, Square Enix is not without its controversies, especially regarding its upcoming Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, which has sparked criticism for removing traditional male and female identifiers in favor of "Body Type A" and "Body Type B."

The gaming community is left wondering if Sweet Baby Inc.'s influence is waning or if this is merely a strategic retreat. With Sweet Baby Inc. rumored to have its hand in the controversial Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which itself is facing scrutiny, it's clear the dialogue around woke ideology in gaming is far from over.
