Join Amy as she discusses how Peter steps into his full authority under Christ, giving a sermon to the Jews for the responsibility of Jesus's crucifixion. He showed them that reference to King David in Psalm 110 was referring to the coming Messiah. The Jews of that time were still waiting for a king, a High Priest, a warrior, and not a man out of Nazareth who taught to the multitude. The Holy Spirit moved through the crowd gathered to hear Peter, and they "were cut to the heart", eager for ways to right their wrongs. Three thousand souls were saved that day, through the gift of repentance, baptism, and faith, embracing Jesus as their Messiah. Come along with us as Amy teaches us the true importance of repentance, the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit was for all who believed on Him. Did you know that every generation is responsible for the death of Jesus, and not just the generation who was physically present during the crucification? Have you as well, repented for your part in His death? Could you sell all of your possessions to follow Jesus in community with the Christian family? In the third chapter of Acts, we learn about Peter and the lame man. And the furthering of the teachings of repentance, the act of turning towards God, and away from the things he detests.

This is a verse-by-verse Bible study, allowing deep understanding and context of God's Word. This audio-only recording was adapted from a live Zoom meeting that originally took place on 09/29/24.
