SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE.

MONDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2024.

Today's TOPIC: ARE YOU GRATEFUL?

SCRIPTURE: But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15 verse 57. Hallelujah!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: For every ungrateful person you encounter, there is a grateful person waiting to be helped.

In our previous study, we saw that God created us to walk in love. We were made in the Image of the God whose Nature and Character is love (1 John 4 verse 8). Hallelujah!

We also established five hindrances to walking in love which are: Negative human actions or reactions, personal challenges of life and confrontations, the plague of selfishness or self centeredness, the spell of weariness or tiredness, and the challenge of distance from God.

Now, the question is, what is the solution to all these challenges so we can walk in love?
The solution is rooted in the word, Realization. This means, there are things you must realise in order to walk in love.

The question, then is, what are you to realize?
Realize that for every ungrateful person, there is a grateful person waiting to be helped.

One thing to know is, for every ungrateful person you encounter, there is a grateful person waiting to be helped. For every Orpah, there is a Ruth waiting to be touched.

In Ruth 1 verse 14, we saw the story of Ruth and Orpah. Orpah kissed her mother-in-law and disappeared, but Ruth clung to her mother-in-law.
I have encountered many ungrateful persons, and I have also encountered grateful people whose attitude and gratitude wiped off the memory of the actions of the ungrateful people.

Beloved, the question for you is: are you a grateful or an ungrateful person? Has the attitude of “ungratefulness” from you ever shut a door of opportunity to both you and other people? Are you grateful to God for all He has done for you?

The truth is, when you become ungrateful, you shut further doors of opportunity against yourself.
God’s servant, Bishop Oyedepo, once said, “Appreciation is the application for more.” When you are grateful to both God and to men, you have positioned yourself to get greater opportunities, privileges and blessings.

May the spell of ingratitude be broken out of your life, in Jesus Name.

Remember this: For every ungrateful person you encounter, there is a grateful person waiting to be helped.

Take this ASSIGNMENT with you:
#1. Refuse the spell of ungratefulness and ingratitude.
#2. Always thank God for His Help. Thank also, the vessels He has used to help you. Yes sir!

Our PRAYER today: Lord, I repent from every attitude of ingratitude today. I receive the grace to always practice the attitude of gratitude, Lord in Jesus Name. Amen!

QUOTE: If you can show appreciation to God, no devil can succeed in destroying you.

DAILY READING: Haggai chapter 2 to Zechariah chapter 2.

We start with Haggai chapter 2, In the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying: “Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying: ‘Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes as nothing? Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ says the Lord; ‘and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,’ says the Lord, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!’ “For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.” ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Now, ask the priests concerning the law, saying, “If one carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with the edge he touches bread or stew, wine or oil, or any food, will it become holy?” ’ ”Then the priests answered and said, “No.” And Haggai said, “If one who is unclean because of a dead body touches any of these, will it be unclean?”So the priests answered and said, “It shall be unclean.” Then Haggai answered and said, “ ‘So is this people, and so is this nation before Me,’ says the Lord, ‘and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean. ‘And now, carefully consider from this day forward: from before stone was laid upon stone in the temple of the Lord, since those days, when one came to a heap of twenty ephahs, there were but ten; when one came to the wine vat to draw out fifty baths from the press, there were but twenty. I struck you with blight and mildew and hail in all the labors of your hands; yet you did not turn to Me,’ says the Lord. ‘Consider now from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid, consider it: Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you.’ ” And again the word of the Lord came to Haggai on the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying, “Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying:‘I will shake heaven and earth. I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms;I will destroy the strength of the Gentile kingdoms.I will overthrow the chariots And those who ride in them; The horses and their riders shall come down,Every one by the sword of his brother. ‘In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘I will take you, Zerubbabel My servant, the son of Shealtiel,’ says the Lord, ‘and will make you like a signet ring; for I have chosen you,’ says the Lord of hosts.” hallelujah!

Zechariah chapter 1, In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, “The Lord has been very angry with your fathers. Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts. “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord. “Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? Yet surely My words and My statutes,Which I commanded My servants the prophets,Did they not overtake your fathers?“So they returned and said:‘Just as the Lord of hosts determined to do to us,According to our ways and according to our deeds,So He has dealt with us.’ ” ’ ” On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet: I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white. Then I said, “My lord, what are these?” So the angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what they are.” And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, “These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.” So they answered the Angel of the Lord, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked to and fro throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is resting quietly.” Then the Angel of the Lord answered and said, “O Lord of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years?” So the angel who spoke with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts:“I am zealous for JerusalemAnd for Zion with great zeal. And the Lord answered the angel who talked to me, with good and comforting words. I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; For I was a little angry,And they helped—but with evil intent.” ‘Therefore thus says the Lord:“I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy; My house shall be built in it,” says the Lord of hosts,“And a surveyor’s line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.” ’ “Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts:“My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The Lord will again comfort Zion,And will again choose Jerusalem.” ’ ” Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were four horns. And I said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these?”So he answered me, “These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.” Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen. And I said, “What are these coming to do?”So he said, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.” hallelujah!

Zechariah chapter 2, Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. So I said, “Where are you going?”And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.” And there was the angel who talked with me, going out; and another angel was coming out to meet him, who said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying: ‘Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. For I,’ says the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ” “Up, up! Flee from the land of the north,” says the Lord; “for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven,” says the Lord. “Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.” For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me. “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the Lord. “Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem. Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!” hallelujah!
