As believers, we are called by God to wage war against the works of the devil, empowered by the authority and victory of Jesus Christ. The Word of God makes it clear that we are not to be passive in our spiritual walk, but active participants in destroying the schemes and strongholds of the enemy.

The Bible tells us in **1 John 3:8 (KJV)**: *"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."* Jesus came to destroy Satan’s influence and works on earth, freeing humanity from the grip of sin and darkness.

We are also reminded of our own authority in Christ in **Luke 10:19 (KJV)**: *"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."* Through Christ, we are empowered to stand against all the forces of darkness, knowing that we have been given power to trample over the enemy’s tactics.

Our battle is not fought with physical weapons but spiritual ones. As **Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)** declares: *"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."* Therefore, we must put on the whole armor of God, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, to tear down strongholds and oppose every work of the enemy.

In fulfilling this divine calling, we walk in the victory Christ has already secured for us at the cross. **Colossians 2:15 (KJV)** proclaims: *"And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."* Jesus has conquered the devil and made an open spectacle of his defeat, and we now share in His triumph as we continue to destroy the works of the enemy in our own lives and the lives of others.

We are called to live in the light, knowing that the enemy’s power is broken and that we are more than conquerors through Christ. With boldness, faith, and perseverance, we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, fully committed to destroying the works of the devil wherever they manifest.
