"Approaching Zero Hour!"

The sky-year begins at hour 0 and ends pretty much the same. The Sun rises and sets, stars come out and lazily drift westward each and every night. Wherever the Sun is on the Spring Equinox marks "The Zero Hour". At that point, NGC7840 gives way to NGC1. You don't wait until March to see the shift. Just stay up until 10pm on the night of the Fall Equinox and you can see it happening...

This video tracks the last 40 plus minutes of deep-sky studies of the sky year. It may start you off easy, but then it brings on the math. Look, listen, read and dig in if you're willing...
