Elvia and her family have faced attempts against their lives and the full extent of these dangers became clear only after the murder of her husband Juan Carlos. Elvia’s father’s criminal affiliations were more dangerous than she had initially understood. She moved from Oregon to Georgia, seeking safety from the criminal activities that her family were a part of, only to face new challenges as America’s political landscape had changed. The shift in America’s political environment has led to a rise in crime and a failure to prosecute criminals effectively, leaving Elvia and her children with no justice for the death of her husband. Elvia’s husband had understood these dangers and warned her when he was alive about the implications of political change.

His life being taken was to silence both he and Elvia. This is why Elvia is running as Republican Candidate for Georgia State House Representative, District 108. Elvia stands here to share her story, to call attention to the systemic failures we’ve encountered, and to urge a renewed focus on justice and the safety of our communities. She implores us to recognize the severity of the threats we face and address the corruption that undermines our legal system. This is a must listen to!!!
