Trinidad and Tobago addressed the United Nations, stating: “If innocent civilians—including women, children, and UN staff—were being killed at such alarming rates in developed nations, how would the global powers respond? Probably not with vague statements and platitudes. The hypocrisy and ongoing support for these violations of international law send a troubling message to the Global South: some influential individuals believe that a Palestinian child is less deserving of protection, sustenance, and life than children elsewhere. I do not share that belief, nor do the people of my country. International law should not be a matter of convenience, selectively applied to allies while condemned for adversaries.” - Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago.

All nations will be addressing the UN this week. You can view the full agenda here: https://gadebate.un.org/en and watch the speeches here: https://lnkd.in/gZrPJrBa.
