LISTEN! DO YOU SMELL SOMETHING?

Yes, I borrowed a line from the original "Ghostbusters" movie to use as the title for this video because it fits the topic of this video.

As you hear what I discuss in this video, and as you reed the X post by @Punkness1 that you see in the video as I speak, does it sound familiar to you? Have you been smelling a sulphur smell in recent days, weeks, or months where you are? I am curious because the lady who posted about the sulphur smell coming in from offshore just before Hurricane Helene made landfall in western Florida. Additionally, my family and friends are telling me that they are currentlhy smelling, and have recently smelled sulphur where they are in southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon, which some suspect is from minor deep underground earthquakes (there are always hundreds of earthquakes deep below the Cascade mountains, especially below Mount Saint Helens), but they aren't certain. The only thing that they are certain of is that the sulphur smell is there, and it's not common. It's recent.

Having been born, raised, and living most of my life in southwest Washington myself, I can attest to the fact that a sulphur smell is quite odd. Even when Mount Saint Helens was erupting frequently for several years, beginning on March 27, 1980, then major eruptions beginning a couple of months later and happening frequently for several years after that, there was never a noticeable smell of sulphur in the region.

So, what we know so far is that there was a sulphur smell that came ashore on the Gulf Coast as Hurricane Helene approached there, and there is a recent noticeable sulphur smell in Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon.
What do you suppose is causing it?
Is there a sulphur aroma/odor where you are now or has there been recently?

BY THE WAY, BOTH "SULPHUR" AND "SULFUR" ARE CORRECT SPELLINGS.
For some reason I have just always spelled it using the "ph". Either spelling is correct.

Something else just crossed my mind. It's probably not related, probably just a coincidence, but that X post about the smell of sulphur coming ashore on the Gulf Coast just before Hurricane Helene, and the strong sulphur smell in Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon near Moiunt Saint Helens - possibly caused by underground earthquakes below the volcano, do you see the odd "coincidence" there? "HELENE" "HELENS".
Hmmm... INTERESTING.
