From Farm to Table - Buy Local for Quality Food

Today, we need to refill our meat freezer and several holes in our food stores. We could run to the grocery store and spend the day picking through stale food products that have been in a shipping container for several weeks, traveling the globe to reach our table, or we could go to the farm where the food was grown. In eastern Kentucky, those farmers are mostly Amish, who use simple, clean, and organic methods without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and protective coverings. This is food in its most natural state, harvested hours before it was purchased and grown in ideal conditions. It also costs less than the internationally grown, weeks-old food found in plastic wrappers in the grocery store.
