Christian DESTROYS Muslim ARGUMENT About Jesus PRAYING | Sam Shamoun

In the Trinity, Jesus does not contradict His divinity when He prays to the Father. Within the Christian understanding of the Trinity, Jesus communicates with the Father because they are distinct persons within the One Godhead. Jesus, as the Son, submits to the Father while remaining fully divine (John 5:19). His prayers are an expression of relational communication, not a sign of inferiority or contradiction. Jesus, being fully God, also shares in the same divine nature with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, His prayers are part of His role as the incarnate Son, not evidence against His divinity​.

In contrast, the Quran depicts Allah praying, which creates a theological issue in Islam. If Allah is truly the only God, to whom is He praying? In Surah 33:43 and 33:56, it is stated that Allah and His angels pray for Muhammad. This clearly conflicts with the Islamic assertion of Allah’s absolute oneness and independence. If Allah must pray, it diminishes His status as a supposedly self-sufficient deity.
