How US Elections works ???

In the US, Congress has two houses: the House of Representatives and the Senate. Public elections are held for both houses, as well as a separate election to choose the president, who serves as both head of state and head of government. Members of the House of Representatives stand for reelection every two years, with each state split into districts, and the candidate with the most votes in each district winning the seat. The Senate, like the House of Lords in the UK Parliament, is elected by the public and serves six-year terms, with elections staggered every two years. Presidential elections take place every four years, with candidates from the two main parties campaigning across the country to gain voter support. On election day, the public votes for one presidential ticket, and the electoral college system is used to determine the final choice of president and vice president.
