Border Agent Punched, Bitten By Illegal Migrant Crossing The Border In Texas

Assaults on border patrol agents are rising, in fact recently, an agent was physically attacked, punched in the face and bitten by an illegal migrant who was coming over the mountain and crossing into New Mexico here at the border
The agency said that it happened while taking the illegals into custody. Recently the CBP sent out a news release saying that they have seen "a significant rise in attacks on Border Patrol Agents." In the El Paso sector of the border, which is where the latest assault took place.
They said that Border Agents in the Santa Teresa Station were spit on and bit, while another was ripped off his ATV by an illegal migrant.
Over in Lordsburg, they say an illegal migrant shot an agent two times, but thankfully the agent survived because of a bullet proof vest.
66 agents have already been assaulted so far, this fiscal year in the El Paso sector. Last fiscal year, 104 agents were assaulted.
The agent who was bitten was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK The illegal immigrant was arrested for assault.
