AMARENA OLD FASHIONED

Enjoy the cherry charm and whiskey warmth by sipping from your rocks glass with subtle orange fragrance.

Note: The base for an Old Fashioned is always the same: spirit, sugar, bitters. The individual ingredients can be replaced as desired.
The idea here is to replace the usual sugar cube with an Amarena syrup. Syrup dissolves much better and is also available in many flavors.
Whiskey can also be replaced with gin, tequila, or mezcal.
You notice, vodka was not mentioned.

Recipe:
30ml-1oz RYE WHISKEY
30ml-1oz BOURBON WHISKEY
7.5ml-0.25oz AMARENA SYRUP
3 dash WHISKEY BARREL-AGED BITTERS
ORANGE OILS

Pour all ingredients into rocks glass. Add a big ice cube and stir. Chill and dilute. Express orange oils over your drink and garnish with an orange twist.
