The CDC just confirmed the first human case of bird flu. This person is living in Missouri and was treated at a local hospital. The person has since recovered but this is still concerning because there was no known exposure to animals or livestock. There have been a few other cases this year but all of the other cases had an occupational exposure to livestock.
