It's time for the final confrontation with the Iconians. The massed fleets have gathered in a desperate defence of Earth - it's do or die, and as we start the fight it looks like die is the way ahead. The Iconian fleet is massive and we need to keep them off the Krenim as they set up the time portal. We go through the portal just ahead of a massive attack and arrive in Iconia. To our surprise it's a peaceful, hugely advanced world and as we look around and talk to the Iconians and the Heralds we begin to question our orders: 'Wipe out all life on Iconia'. When the attack comes we decide to fight along side the Iconians, protecting them and saving the Heart of Iconia, the repository of their entire civilisation's knowledge and history. Sela - helpful as ever - decides to kill the Iconians anyway and as T'ket (she of the one arm and vengeful wrath) vows to annhililate the Romulans for her deeds and we already know that she's an Iconian of her word, she did indeed destroy the Romulans.

Recovering the Heart of Iconia we return to the present day in the midst of the battle where we contact the Iconians and wave the Heart of Iconia furiously above our heads - they summon us to their command center where L'Miren and T'ket accept the Heart of Iconia. L'Miren concludes the peace with the Allied Fleet realising that we were the fabled 'Others' who aided their escape from Iconia when they faced extinction, although an angry - and still vengeful - T'Ket vows that 'a thousand more planets should die' before their vengence is done. Tea and medals at the Starfleet Academy follow...
