TOPIC: Cleansing By His Presence.

Today's SCRIPTURE: After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. John 13 verse 5.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Waiting on the Lord is key to the cleansing of life and destiny.

To wait on the Lord is to experience His purity and righteousness and expose our impurity and unrighteousness. In the atmosphere of His Presence, cleansing of life and destiny takes place.

When you camp around God’s Presence, you experience a cleansing from the impurities of life.

The Presence of God is a cleanser of life and destiny.

As one journeys through life, there is a possibility for the dust of the world to settle on one’s life. But when you camp with God who is the purifying Fire, He will purify you just as He purified Isaiah (Isaiah 6 verse 1 to 6). Hallelujah!

Similarly, Jesus washed the feet of His disciples.
John 13 verse 5 to 7 says,

After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
Verse 6, Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? And he said, if I wash thee not, you have no path in me. Jesus said, what I do now, you don’t know. But you’ll know hereafter.

So, as we journey through life, in ministry, career and destiny, there is a possibility for dust to settle on one’s life. And the settling of dust can dampen our spiritual sensitivity.

You know, when you use a kerosene lantern for a long time, smoke settles on the glass of the lantern, and the lantern is no longer bright and sharp.

Similarly, when dust settles on some functional parts of vehicles or equipment, it can hamper their functionality. So, there is a need for constant cleansing. That is why we camp with God for the cleansing of our lives.

Remember this: Waiting on the Lord is key to the cleansing of life and destiny.

Take this ASSIGNMENTS with you:
Camp with God periodically to cleanse you from every form of dirt.

Refuse to be entangled by the impurities of life. Yes sir!

Our PRAYER today: Lord, I ask that You purify me from every impurity of life. Cleanse my heart from sin, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen!

We start with Habakkuk chapter 2, I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart,And watch to see what He will say to me,And what I will answer when I am corrected. For the violence done to Lebanon will cover you,And the plunder of beasts which made them afraid,Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city,And of all who dwell in it. “What profit is the image, that its maker should carve it,The molded image, a teacher of lies,That the maker of its mold should trust in it,To make mute idols? Woe to him who says to wood, ‘Awake!’To silent stone, ‘Arise! It shall teach!’Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver,Yet in it there is no breath at all. “But the Lord is in His holy temple.Let all the earth keep silence before Him.” hallelujah!

Zephaniah chapter 1, The word of the Lord which came to Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah. “I will utterly consume everything From the face of the land,”Says the Lord; “I will consume man and beast;I will consume the birds of the heavens, The fish of the sea,And the stumbling blocks along with the wicked.I will cut off man from the face of the land,”Says the Lord. “I will stretch out My hand against Judah,And against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. I will cut off every trace of Baal from this place,The names of the idolatrous priests with the pagan priests, Those who worship the host of heaven on the housetops;Those who worship and swear oaths by the Lord,But who also swear by Milcom; Those who have turned back from following the Lord,And have not sought the Lord, nor inquired of Him.” Be silent in the presence of the Lord God;For the day of the Lord is at hand,For the Lord has prepared a sacrifice;He has invited His guests. “And it shall be,In the day of the Lord’s sacrifice,That I will punish the princes and the king’s children,And all such as are clothed with foreign apparel. In the same day I will punish All those who leap over the threshold,Who fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit. “And there shall be on that day,” says the Lord,“The sound of a mournful cry from the Fish Gate,A wailing from the Second Quarter,And a loud crashing from the hills. Wail, you inhabitants of Maktesh!For all the merchant people are cut down;All those who handle money are cut off. “And it shall come to pass at that time That I will search Jerusalem with lamps,And punish the men Who are settled in complacency,Who say in their heart,‘The Lord will not do good,Nor will He do evil.’ Therefore their goods shall become booty,And their houses a desolation;They shall build houses, but not inhabit them;They shall plant vineyards, but not drink their wine.” The great day of the Lord is near;It is near and hastens quickly.The noise of the day of the Lord is bitter;There the mighty men shall cry out. That day is a day of wrath,A day of trouble and distress,A day of devastation and desolation,A day of darkness and gloominess,A day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of trumpet and alarm Against the fortified cities And against the high towers. “I will bring distress upon men,And they shall walk like blind men, Because they have sinned against the Lord; Their blood shall be poured out like dust,And their flesh like refuse.” Neither their silver nor their gold Shall be able to deliver them In the day of the Lord’s wrath;But the whole land shall be devoured By the fire of His jealousy,For He will make speedy riddance Of all those who dwell in the land.
