RightForBucks President Andy Meehan and Attorney Andy Teitelman provide background and update on the lawsuit filed by 50 BCRC Committee members, which is now on appeal in the PA. Commonwealth Court. The lawsuit was filed after the BCRC refused to address a formal ethics complaint and after it was discovered that the Bucks County Republican Committee leadership was elected using proxy votes, which are not permitted in Pa. unless the entity has a valid and certified set of bylaws on file with the county Board Of Elections. In this case it is a proven fact that the BCRC did NOT have valid certified bylaws on file (and still does not) while running their internal reorganization elections in all years up to and including June 2022 and most recently June 2024. The case was dismissed in the local court with the Judge stating that the court did not have standing. This ruling is deemed incorrect by the plaintiffs and has been appealed to the Commonwealth Court. Mr. Teitelman is now inviting any registered PA voters to participate in the lawsuit as a "friend of the court", otherwise known as an Amicus Curiae Brief, as all PA. voters are impacted by the lower court ruling. If the voters of the commonwealth and especially political committee members want to be able to hold their private committees responsible it is necessary that the court recognize that the Mohn case precedent does not apply in this case, and that these committees MUST comply with the PA statutes governing such entities. The PAGOP has allowed these rogue committees with non-compliant bylaws and tyrannical leadership to operate with impunity to the detriment of their own committee and the voters of the Commonwealth.

WE ENCOURAGE ANY PA. VOTER WHO WANTS THEIR COMMITTEES TO BE ACCOUNTABLE AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAW TO JOIN THE LAWSUIT AS A "FRIEND OF THE COURT", SOMEONE WHO IS IMPACTED BY THE RULING.
