Donald Trump speaks in New York as court weighs appeal in fraud case - September 26, 2024

Former President Donald Trump will make a campaign stop in New York City on Thursday afternoon, the same day an appeals court in the state weighs whether a multimillion-dollar judgment against him and his business empire can stand.
The trial comes after a judge ruled that Donald Trump conspired with Trump Organization executives to falsely alter his net worth on key financial statements to reap tax and insurance benefits.
His remarks from the Empire State also come on the same day Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is meeting with President Biden and Vice President Harris at the White House to deliver his "victory plan" on how to end Ukraine's war with Russia. He is also expected to give the plan to Donald Trump, but it’s not clear how or when.
The GOP presidential nominee in recent days has been homing in on New York, a state seen as critical to determining who controls the House next year.
