The Toronto city’s 2SLGBTQ Advisory Committee has requested the removal of the terms "male" and "female" from the online booking system. They argue these terms are "incredibly harmful" and refer to "biological and reproductive" descriptors. The committee suggests replacing them with "man" and "woman." The 2SLGBTQ committee has also previously requested the removal of 'male' and 'female' and their replacement with 'cis male' and 'cis female.'
