"H20 EVAP WITHOUT HEAT\COLD WELDING OUTSIDE THE ISS\CONSUMABLES PROBLEM\R ENGINE STARTING" PART 84

In this video, we will be discussing an MIT document displaying how they were outgassing liquid without the use of heat which ties in nicely with the discussion of the environmental control systems onboard of the CSM & LM.

We also display a video of an astronaut repairing a piece of equipment on the outside of the ISS, only for the socket to cold weld itself to the equipment. I wonder how the astronauts are going to be assembling the Lunar Gateway Station without the same event happening when the LGS is in a vacuum of torr 10 -11, whilst the ISS is in a vacuum of torr 10 -7?

This is an extreme difference which will greatly decrease the time that it takes for the similar materials to cold weld themselves together at the slightest touch.

We review how the V2 rocket engine's turbo pump was started and how Werner VonBraun adapted this methodology for use in the F-1 engines.

We will also be discussing the amount of consumables and non consumables that will have to be taken onboard of the rocket in order to sustain the life of the astronauts while maintaining the ship's systems and firing various retro engines for course correction, including the re entry phase to the Earth.

We hope that you will all enjoy this presentation!
